Bug Fixes

  • HTTP Timeouts Extended: Some folks with large ad candidate lists were seeing too many HTTP timeout responses from the ad decision API. We found an impatient service in our tech stack that had a lower timeout than all its peers. We bumped that up, and the timeout responses were significantly reduced.

  • Campaign Start/End Dates: We disabled our campaign start/end date calculation service during an outage several weeks ago. This left some campaigns showing the incorrect start or end date in the UI. We completed a data fix that reevaluated every campaign to ensure dates are correct.

  • Reporting Start-of-Month Bugs: We have a "house-keeping" service that closes out the previous month and prepares our reporting database for the new month's data at the beginning of each month. It kept forgetting stuff, making us have to scramble on the first of the month to finish its work for it. These bugs made some queries take longer than usual or omit a particular field. As of July 1st, everything ran smoothly with no manual intervention from our side.
