User Permissions (March 2026 updates)

The way you log in and manage users in Kevel will soon change to offer a smoother and more efficient experience.

This page describes user permissions functionality you will see in Kevel starting in March 2026. Changes will appear on the following schedule:

  • For Kevel Ad Server users, user permissions will work as described here starting on Monday, March 2, 2026.
  • For Kevel Audience users, user permissions will work as described here starting the week of March 9 - 13, 2026.
  • For Kevel Console users, user permissions will work as described here starting on Monday, March 16, 2026.

The following permission levels are available for media owner users within Kevel.

Abilities

Not an organization admin

  • View the user management page
  • Search, adjust columns, and filter on the user management page

Organization admin

All abilities of a user who is not an organization admin, plus:

  • Add, edit, and deactivate users

Kevel Ad Server

Permission level

Abilities

Read-only

  • View ad campaigns and their details
  • View inventory (sites, channels, etc.) resources and their details
  • Run & schedule reports

Editor

All abilities of Read-only, plus:

  • Campaign management (create, edit, & remove ad campaigns and their details)
  • Inventory management (create, edit, & remove sites, channels, and ad sizes)

Admin

All abilities of Editor, plus:

  • API key management (view, create, & remove API keys)

Kevel Console

Permission level

Abilities

Read-only

  • View ad campaigns and their details
  • Run reports

Editor

All abilities of Read-only, plus:

  • Create campaigns and their details, but not able to set them to active

Admin

All abilities of Editor, plus:

  • Set campaigns to active
  • View, edit, create, and delete users

Kevel Audience

  • View user explorer, orders, segments, user attributes, destinations, triggers, predictions, event logs, RFM Maps, and all other Audience features

Editor

All abilities of Read-only, plus:

  • Create, update or delete segments, user attributes, destinations, triggers, predictions, A/B experiments, triggers
  • Configure data imports
